In order to play my Napoleonic adaptation of Command & Colors properly (on the tabletop), I HAD to put together a couple of 28mm armies. So I ordered the best figures (Perry and Front Rank for the French and British, and Calpe for the Prussians (I guess that's 3 armies). :)
They are based as follows:
Cavalry has one permanent figure and 3 figures that can be taken as casualties
Infantry has 4 permanent figures in the front rank and 4 figures in the back rank to be taken as casualties
Artillery has one permanent figure and a gun on the base and 2 figures per gun that can be taken as casualties
So, the usual strength of Infantry units is 4, Cavalry 3, and artillery 2
